A hotel with character and old world charm. I hope they never decide to modernize it. Very well located by the Thames and the hotel kindly upgraded me to a room with a view of the river. Few hotels have this feeling of "home", but this hotel had it. The breakfast was delicious with a wide enough variety of good quality food: croissant, baguettes, cheese, salami, fresh fruit, youghurt and more. A very observant waiter constantly refilled the buffet, so all was fresh and available. The breakfast room was also overlooking the river, and had a wonderful greenery of big trees, there was a squirrel visiting while I had breakfast. It felt like a retreat in the middle of nature, and yet only 20 mins to central London on the overground.

Characterful building, a little olde-worlde but suitably comfortable. Managed to park right outside. Walking distance from all Richmond facilities.

I most appreciated the friendliness of all staff, the free and fast internet and the setting (garden and river).
Rooms towards the road can be quite noisy, but nothing earplugs dont sort.

Friendly staff. Good location. Rooms were clean. Decent selection for buffet breakfast included in price of room.
Rooms were clean but a bit run down-old windows that didnt close properly, bit of peeling paint in bathroom, stains on carpet.

A very nice price for a quiet, clean place to stay.

I liked the view over the river, and it was quiet despite its proximity to town. It was close to lots of shops and restaurants.
Everything looked like it needed updating - while I don't think it was not clean, it all looked that way because the paintwork was old and tired and the decoration was mismatched and a little odd.

Faded gothic splendour, with a great view over the Thames. Whacky but clean and interesting
The car park is on a 45 degree slope, bottomed the car goin over the lip into it. Still it does have parking which is a bonus in this area.

Hobart Hall is very laid back, and in an lovely building. We had a great room overlooking the garden & River Thames (through the trees). Though not 5 star the price we paid was well worth it for our room. The continental breakfast was great... Even had decaf tea!
The actual room, although very nice could have done with a little refresh. There was paint peeling on the bottom of the bathroom door, and bleach stains on the carpet on the way into the bathroom & around the toilet. And although there were fresh flowers (a nice touch) it still smelt a bit musty in the room.

It was close to where we wanted to visit
Only one towel per person, that not really bath size. Mattress too big for divan base which made getting out of bed interesting (although comfortable). Very poor choice for breakfast. Bathroom small and awkward to get into. Bleach had been spilled and damaged carpet in both bedroom & bathroom. Parking very limited. Definitely not value for money, probably one star at best.
